His sire Janan, tried to kill him days after he sired the youth. He did so by poisoning a stash of coins that he told the young thief to take to a contact. A strange salamander who claimed to know what was happening intercepted the boy in the throes of death with a healer in tow. Kynger fled at the time to make it seem he had died. The Salamander is now a part time guild associate. Kynger avoids him when he can. Kynger has had one husband and one wife, both human and both died into their old age. Kynger at the time used a illusionist to make him appear to age. After the death of his Husband, he vowed to sire the next person he fell in love with, if they were human. His wife was killed by a vengeful Lycan of whom he worked for and trusted. After Kynger had mistakenly bit and fed from a Lycan youth. He has since had a distrust of any Lycan.
