After Arabelle’s death in childbirth Eowin brought his newborn illegitimate daughter to the castle and recognized her as his own. He met and married Dierdre when Niara was 10. Laith was born when she was 16. Dierdre attempted to raise Niara as her own as best she could and for a long while it seemed they got along well. Niara loved Laith and her twin siblings and was the jewel of the family. In her late 20’s she began to wander and explore the world. At first this went well and Niara would come back eager to talk about her findings and the people she had met. As time went on she became withdrawn and secluded not acting like her usual self.
